I GOT AN OFFER!! I SECURED THE JOB!!
Actually… I got 3.
A Sustainability Analyst, a Sustainability Planner, AAAAAND an Energy Consultant. I’m going with the analyst position.
I'm so excited!! It ACTUALLY happened! Oh and there’s STILLLLLL folks tryna interview the girl. Now the task is turning others down. Oh and you KNOW I gotta update the girls on LinkedIn!
It feels so good to have secured a job IN my field AND it’s well paid. AMEN!
This was DEF def my month of harvest OKAAAAAAY!

No matter when I job hunt, it's ALWAYS a good time to find a job and I WILL secure something!!
I hope whoever stumbled upon this journey of mine is encouraged in some way. I know that the way this happened is bound to get some “how did you do it?” questions and I HATE giving people advice like kitchen appliances. Lol you know those people that give useless, vague and LAZY “You gotta just grind, and grind HARD, and just keep grindin” advice. Liiiiiike am I a blender to just be grinding? Do I have Black and Decker written across my forehead?? What am I supposed to do with “grind”? Like what does that even look like on a Tuesday? I need step by step tutorials!!
I wrote out this day by day vignette style format to give a little glimpse into the day to day of my job SECURING strategy. Some of it was experimentation and some was based on advice given to me, but all of it is recorded for you to read through, laugh a little, and maybe try out for yourself. If you’re reading this and you’re currently on your job SECURING journey, I have faith for you. Idk how long it's been for you or what your situation is, but I KNOW from my experience, God has not forgotten you and there are things that are being worked out in your favor that you couldn’t even imagine. Pieces are being put together for you. Your name is circulating in rooms you haven’t entered. Someone is waiting to open a door for you and reach out a hand to you. You have not been forgotten. Maybe this was meant to be a reminder for you. I definitely know how it feels to receive empty platitudes and well meaning words when life is crushing your head, but I honestly feel that you stumbling upon this isn’t meant to be just empty words. There is a wealth of resources and actual ACTIONABLE things in this journey I recorded that you can put into place TODAY. If you were feeling down or ready to give up, please don’t! Trust me, I wanted to. You read my thoughts. I honestly feel like my meticulousness in note taking was meant for whoever stumbles across this to not just get some empty words, but an actual workplan.
It was hard and scary. I had to step outside of my comfort zone and really put myself out there in new ways. It was different for me but it worked! This was a time when folks were talking about how bad the job market is and I scored THREE offers after just 2 and a half months of consistently keeping to a workplan. If that ain't God I Honestly don’t know who it could be.
Not only did I come out of this with the jobs but I feel like I have a stronger faith, better discipline, and a higher level of resilience. I no longer fear what the future can possibly hold because I see what God can strengthen me to do. I’m a WHOOOLE introvert and I literally spent almost every single day talking to strangers, went to events where I didn't know ANYBODY, worked rooms, and just put myself in new social situations. This journey proved to me that being an introvert doesn't have to hold me back from socializing. I’m so happy that it’s written so that if anyone needs a pick-me-up, a work plan, a laugh, a lil Bible Study, or just a journey to read over to find someone to relate to, it’s all here.
